Like many others, I am sure, I have had many comprehension difficulties in conversation with Indian call centre staff. While the agent's English may be impeccable, the pronunciation has made it rather incomprehensible. I dread the introduction of other non natural pronunciations when call centres are moved to other countries where English is a "foreign" language.

To mind comes the former British Honduras, now Belize, in Central America, a multi lingual nation, where English is spoken with a mild American accent. I am surprised that this has not been explored by offshoring companies, especially as Spanish is the second language.
