When offshoring first took off in a big way (ie when we all started hearing about it) I thought we were committing economic suicide - and nothing I have read or learned since has changed my mind.
A couple of decades ago we were told that although most of our manufacturing had vanished, it would all be OK because we were being turned into a 'Service Economy'.
Now the service industries are busy exporting jobs and future careers. Who do these companies think is going to buy their products when the bulk of that type of work is being done offshore and the rest of us are on the scrapheap?
