For every 4 jobs offshored only 1 new job is created. Or have I read that wrongly?

When employer complain of skills shortage have they considered actually training people before offshoring? Or is that always "someone else's job" ? This offshoring only reduces our skills base, but at the same time builds the skills of our competitors.

As we build the service industries in other countries we deprive this country of potential income. In the future what will pay for our schools, hospitals, defence? Certainly not our manufacturing industry, nor our North Sea Oil.
