A better way to deliver increased shareholder value is surely to offshore executive jobs, where colossal cost savings stand to be made.
As executive pay packets are justified largely by supply and demand in the global marketplace, it seems strange that so few UK firms are taking the boardroom overseas, to benefit from highly educated people willing to work at more economic rates.
Given that very few individuals would be affected by such offshoring, there would the added benefit of negligible customer backlash.
