Unisys will provide IT services including a user helpdesk, WAN and LAN management, messaging and desktop services.
Reinhard Quante, CIO of BSN Medical, said the company wanted an IT services partner with a global presence and a dedication to local service delivery - and said Unisys could fulfil those requirements.
The terms of the agreement were finalised within six months, according to Quanta. Unisys will gradually assume responsibility for BSN Medical's IT infrastructure throughout 2007.
In the past year Unisys has opened up an offshore IT facility in China and secured a deal with Microsoft to allow law enforcement agencies within the European Union to share data.
