The UK's Department of Health (DoH) has agreed a £20m extension to an IT outsourcing deal with CSC.
CSC initially won the seven-year £39m contract with the DoH back in 2002. The £20m extension will now see the contract run through to 2011.
Under the extended agreement CSC will continue to provide infrastructure and application support services to around 4,500 staff at the DoH in the UK.

Beverley Bryant, CIO of the DoH, said information services in the department have changed "significantly" over the last two years and that the outsourcing deal has helped deliver a common brand and improved service to staff.
CSC also already holds three of the key lead service provider contracts for the NHS' £12.4bn national Connecting for Health IT project. CSC has the £1bn contract for the North West and Midlands region and last year took over £2bn-worth of contracts for the East and North East regions after Accenture pulled out.
