Düsseldorf airport has signed a $200m outsourcing deal with SITA.
The deal will see SITA take over the running of IT support for the airport, which handles some 1.5 million passengers per year, in a 10-year contract. SITA will be partnering with Siemens and EADS Telecom for the deal.
There will be no redundancies among Düsseldorf airport staff.
Thomas Schnalke, MD of Düsseldorf airport, said in a statement: "Together we can establish an IT platform that can also serve as an example to other airports and help the industry become more cost efficient."
